I am a mostly self- taught artist. My years of experience drawing and painting have taught me much along my artistic journey, but I've always felt that my lack of a formal art education has left me not understanding a lot about what I create or how i create.
My friend Tom loaned me an old textbook he had from his days at art school. The book is, "Design Fundamentals" by Robert Gilam Scott. The book discusses lots of design theory and even some philosophy behind it. It also has in it some suggested projects that i decided to do. I think I will be a better artist after working on all the projects. My artwork has always been very expressive, but my design skills have been rather weak.
